WILLIAM (BILL) GLOWA May 27, 1927 - June 5, 2000 After a very courageous battle with cancer, it is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of William Glowa at the age of 73 years. Bill leaves to mourn, his devoted wife Elsie of 44 years and daughter Lori. Bill was born in Glenella, MB but grew up in the Alonsa district. They moved to Winnipeg in 1957, leaving behind a life of farming. Bill completed barber school and had his own successful business on Corydon Avenue of 41 years, retiring in 1998, only due to ill health. Viewing will be held on Friday, June 9 from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley St., with Rev. Greg Clark officiating. We would like to express our sincere thanks to the dedicated nursing staff at he Grace General Hospital, in particular 4 West, to Dr. Pat Harris, to the V.O.N.s, and many friends and family helping us through this difficult time.
