ALVIES CHARLES (SCOTTY) DENNISTON (Sgt. CD2, CAF, RCEME Retired) Peacefully on Sunday, June 4, 2000 at the Perley Rideau Veterans Health Centre surrounded by his family, Scotty Denniston, in his 78th year, passed on to his final resting place. Beloved husband of 55 years to Alice (Boots) Hooper. Beloved father of Maryann LaPage (Rene), Sandra Caskanette (Wilf), Heather Legge (Ron), Edythe Pryor (Willie), Phyllis Blair (Ken), Wendy Mills (Chuck), Peggy-Lynn Lachance (Harold), Robert (Joanne), and Kimberley Taylor (Andrew). He will be sadly missed by his 28 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He led a full life and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Kanata Branch and the Lions Club. Predeceased by his daughter Margaret, parents James and Jean, brothers James and Bill and sisters May and Jean and his granddaughter Leslie. The family thanks the Perley Rideau staff for all their help and support. A memorial service was held at the Glen Cairn United Church, 140 Abbey Hill Dr., Kanata on Tuesday, June 6, 2000 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations would be grate-fully appreciated to the Perley Rideau Veterans Health Centre or the Alzheimer Society of Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society.
