Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT DEE With deep sorrow the family announces the passing of Robert Dee on Tuesday, June 6, 2000 at the age of 78. Bob will be sadly missed by his wife Louise (nee Thornton) his children, Blaine and Bonnie (Richard Jakubowski) sisters, Bella Dee and Lil Remple; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bob was born in Badger, MB on November 23, 1921 where he resided until he joined the army at age 19. A proud member of the Princess Patricias Canadian Light Infantry, he served in England, North Africa, France, Italy, Holland and Germany. He worked as an auto mechanic for Walsh Graham Motors and for the Provincial Government Garage. Generous with his time and talents, Bob happily maintained a fleet of family and friends cars. After retiring he continued to enjoy his love of the outdoors, camping, fishing, playing cards and woodworking, carving two violins. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 9 at 12:30 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1858 Portage Ave. Visitation one-half hour, prior to service. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Grace General Hospital and Assiniboine Clinic, the Manitoba Home Nutrition Program, and Health Links for their caring support during Bobs illness.
