Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBERNARD L. CARDEY Peacefully on Wednesday, June 7, 2000 at the Victoria Hospital. Bernie L. Cardey passed away in his 82nd year. Bernie was born on April 26, 1918 in Winchester England. His family immigrated to Kenora, Ontario. Bernie served with the Royal Canadian Engineers during the Second World War, then relocated to Winnipeg with his young family. He then served with the 19th Medical Company attached to the Royal Winnipeg Rifles, Militia Unit. He retired as a supervisor chef at Deer Lodge Hospital, after 38 years of public service. Bernie was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Prendergast Seniors, No. 2 Legion, and was an active bowler. Bernie will be lovingly remembered by his three sons, Bernie (Linda), Joe, and Bob (Darlene) grandchildren, Michael (Manon), Theresa, Todd, and Brett, and great-grandson James; surviving brothers, Ed and George, as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 12 at St. Bernadettes Roman Catholic Church, 820 Cottonwood, with father Fred Olds officiating. Interment 2:30 p.m. Monday, June 12 at Lake of the Woods Cemetery, Kenora, Ontario. BARDAL FUNERAL HOME 843 Sherbrook Street, 774-7474
