(FRANK) KROEIS CD Retired It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Francesco (Frank) Kroeis on the 26th day of May, 2000 in Switzerland. Frank was predeceased by his parents, Frank Xavier and Anna Maria Kroeis. He is survived by his wife Marianne Martha Kroeis; two daughters, Carmen Bond (Ted), Yvonne Mould of Edmonton; two sons, Randolph Kroeis and daughter-in-law Laurie, Frank Kroeis (Marie) grandchildren, Devon, Tara, Lana, Megan, Elyse, Jeremy; and one great-grandchild Nadja Bennett; also two sisters, Anna Straub of Switzerland and Herta Cecelya (Slavko) of Windsor, Ontario; alsonieces and nephews in Switzerland and Windsor. Frank will also be sadly missed by his best friend Herta Seidermann and her daughter Gabby and family. Frank was born May 9, 1926 in Bolzano, South Tyrol. At 16, Frank joined the 5th Fleet in Europe until 1951 when he was employed by Canada Packers till 1953, then Frank rejoined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1953 and remained until his retirement in 1986 as Detachment Supply Officer. Frank also volunteered with No. 573 and No. 6 R.C. (Air) C.S. for over 20 years in supply and bush survival. He was a member and on the executive of Branch No. 141 Royal Canadian Legion, a longtime member of the ANAF No. 283, also a member of many years of the German Canadian Society of Winnipeg. He will also be missed by the friends at Camp Neustade. At Franks request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton Avenue on Monday, June 12 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Flying Scholarship for students of No. 573, Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron, in care of Branch No. 141 Royal Canadian Legion.
