EDITH LILLIAN HAUSEGGER On June 6, 2000. Beloved wife of the late Werner Hausegger and mother of Eva (Phil) Barton, Elsie Williamson, Robert (Barbara) Hausegger and Shirley (Jim) Roy. She was born in 1904 at North Somercotes in Lincolnshire, England, but immigrated to Canada at the age of two. She grew up on the (Jacklin) family farm near Meadows, Man., until her marriage to Werner in 1926. The two farmed and raised their family in the area west of Winnipeg until Werner left with the Canadian Army to serve overseas. Lillian then raised her family alone in Winnipeg (Fort Garry) until Werners return four years later. The family did not return to farming but remained in the Winnipeg area. After her husbands death in 1970, Lillian lived independently in her own suite but enjoyed the love and attention of her children and grandchildren who were the prime focus of her life. She enjoyed family gatherings, particularly outings at Matlock and birthdays celebrated with her many descendants. She is survived by her four children, 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren - living from the Queen Charlotte Islands to Ottawa to Baton Rouge to London, England. She is also survived by one sister Rose, and by numerous nieces and nephews. A private family graveside service will be held on June 12. The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation for the dedication and aid of the Home Care Service over the past two years. Their care, and that of Dr. Goodhand of the Abbott Clinic, permitted Mother to maintain her cheerful attitude and long independent life. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
