ELSIE L. SMITH On June 9, 2000, Elsie L. Smith passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 91 years. Elsie was born in Winnipeg and attended Wellington School, Daniel McIntyre High School and Success Business College. She was employed as secretary at Winnipeg Paint and Glass Co., for the first half of her working years, then Blue Ribbon Co., then Brook Bond Inc. now J. Thomas Lipton Corp. for the second half. She is survived by her sister-in-law Vera; nieces, Ethel and Eileen Bailey of Trail, B.C., Beverley Provost, Brenda Smith, Sandra Lazaruk; and nephews, Doug Smith, all of Winnipeg, Jack Bailey of Trail, B.C., Bruce Bailey of Vancouver and Ken Bray of Toronto. She was predeceased by her mother and father; sisters, Jean and Irene; and brother Albert. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will take place in St. James Anglican Cemetery on Tuesday, June 13 at 2:00 p.m. LEATHERDALE GARDINER 232 Kennedy Street 949-4878
