LOUIS JOSEPH QUINN Passed away at the MacGregor Personal Care Home on Saturday, June 3, 2000, Louis Joseph Quinn age 76 years of MacGregor. Louis was born August 6, 1923 at Melita and at the age of ten years moved with his parents to the MacGregor District. He received his education at the Melita and MacGregor schools. Louis went to work at an early age and for many years worked at Lyes garage and later at Lyes Plumbing & Heating. He then worked for the Manitoba Water Services Board for 15 years, retiring in 1988. Since 1995 he has resided at the MacGregor Personal Care Home. For many years Louis was a member of the MacGregor Lions and Volunteer Fire Department. Predeceased by his parents, Louis will be sadly missed by his wife Carol; son Glenn and Judy of Calgary, AB; granddaughters, Kelly and Karen; daughter Betty (Ed) Barnhart of Hay River, NWT; one grandson Timothy; brothers, Gordon of Cochrane, AB, Pat and Joy of Airdrie, AB, and Raymond and Liz of Quesnel, BC; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 7, at 2:00 p.m. in St. Pauls Anglican Church, MacGregor with Rev. Christopher Arthur officiating. Interment followed in the MacGregor Cemetery. Pallbearers were Denver Collins, Bill Wiebe, Bob Schweitz, John Bender, Larry Jonasson and Keith Thompson. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. Clarkes Funeral Home, MacGregor in care of arrangements. (204) 385-2274.
