Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOAN PATRICIA MORRISON Peacefully on Thursday, June 8, 2000 at the St. Boniface Hospital, Joan Patricia Morrison, aged 83 years, dearly beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mom leaves to cherish her memory, her four children, Wayne and his wife Sue and their children, Michelle and Michael, Clive and his wife Diana and sons, Brad, Matt and Ben, Terry and his wife Sandra and daughters, Kate, Elizabeth and son Dale, Bette-Lea and husband Roger Fraser and their children, Kyla, Joel and Sara. She also leaves to mourn three great-grandchildren, Liam, Parker and Tristjan. Along with her family, she leaves to mourn her good friends, Joan and Gordon Pilkey and her many close friends at St. Albans Church and the Riverbend Plaza. Joan was born in London, England on April 26, 1917 and immigrated with her parents and family to Winnipeg at an early age. In 1940 she married James Morrison and enjoyed 50 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in April of 1991. She was also predeceased by her parents, Sid and Mae; sisters, Betty and Peggy and brother Stan. Throughout her life, most of which was spent in the Fort Rouge area, she took great pride in being a wonderful mother and homemaker for her family. She enjoyed her years as a volunteer at the Riverview Community Centre, along with many activities related to St. Albans Church. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 13 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Albans Anglican Church, 486 Rathgar Ave. at Osborne Street with Rev. Donna Ball officiating. Special thanks to all the doctors, nurses and staff in the emergency room at the St. Boniface Hospital, along with the Palliative Care Unit. Flowers gratefully declined.
