ROBERT (BOB) GORDON PORTER On Friday, June 9, 2000 at the Carman Memorial Hospital in Carman, MB Robert (Bob) Gordon Porter aged 81 years, beloved husband of Margaret Porter of Carman, MB. Besides his loving wife Margaret, Bob leaves to mourn two daughters: Judy (Jerry) Lofto of Winnipeg and Brenda (Abe) Peters of Winnipeg; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He also leaves two step sons, Jim (Judy) Kee of London, ON and Doug (Elaine) Kee of Regina, SK; nine step grandchildren and three great-step-grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister Elinor Butler of White Rock, BC. Bob was predeceased by two sisters, Ruth Garrett and Iva Johnson. Bob lived on the family farm near Elm Creek until his retirement. He enjoyed his time on the farm and was an avid curler. After retirement Bob and Margaret enjoyed many winters in Arizona. Family was very important to Bob and being with his grandchildren was something he found much joy in. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. A private graveside funeral service will be held from the Elm Creek Cemetery in Elm Creek, MB. Interment will take place in the family plot in the Elm Creek Cemetery.
