STELLA HAYDEY Peacefully, on Friday, June 9, 2000 at the Deer Lodge Centre, Winnipeg, Stella Haydey, aged 80 years, formally of East Lower Fort Garry. She was predeceased by her husband Mike on March 19, 1994; father John and mother Kay. She is survived by her loving daughter Pat (Martin) Pruden; dearly loved grandchildren, Dean (Lorri), Sandra and her precious great-grandchildren, Brett and Alyssa. She also leaves her sisters, Marie (Frank) Kupchik, Anne (Nick) Novinka, Alice French; her brother Mike (Mary) Popowich; sister-in-law Carol Haydey and numerous nieces and nephews. Stella was born on April 2, 1920 in Yorkton, Sask. Stellas greatest joy was time spent with her family, her hobbies included crafts, camping and bingo. Prayer service will be held on Monday, June 12 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 13 at 10:30 a.m. also in the chapel with Fr. Alexander Harkavy officiating. Interment to follow in the St. Nicholas Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Cemetery, Gonor, MB. Her pallbearers will be Bert and Jason Chymyshyn, Boyd VanBlaricom, Larry Kupchik, Jim Green and Richard Haydey. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff on Ward 3 east at the Deer Lodge Centre, Winnipeg for their care and compassion shown to Stella the last two years. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, they can make a donation in Stellas name to the Kidney Foundation, 200-55 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 1L8.
