ALEXANDER GRYMEK After a lengthy illness, with his family by his side, on Saturday, June 10, 2000, at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Alexander Grymek, passed away at the age of 79 years. Alex was born in Ukraine on August 16, 1920. He worked at Hurst Engineering for 35 years prior to his retirement in 1982. Alex was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion No. 141 for 39 years. He was predeceased by his first wife Olga of 34 years in 1982. Alex will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Dorothy whom he married on June 24, 1989; his children, Lennard (Denise), Larry (Sandra), Janet (Sam), Nadine (Jim) eight grandchildren, Duane (Carolyne), Lena, Neil, Dean, Cory, Ryan, Kyle, and Kevin; step-daughters Sonia (Harold), Carol (Tim) step-son, Junior (Karline), step-grandchildren, Carl, Marvin, Tiffany, Kyle, Charline, Quinn, and many friends. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, June 13, at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 14, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Bannerman and Arlington with a Basilian Father officiating. Interment will follow in Waverley Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank the staff at the Seven Oaks Hospital for their tender loving care.
