DEAN MILES MATHESON On June 11, 2000, Dean Miles Matheson passed away at the Grace General Hospital in his 44th year. Dean was born June 28, 1956 and lived most of his life in the Fort Rouge area. He attended Lord Roberts, Churchill and Tec Voc schools. He loved living in Ear Falls, Ont. and spent much of his time bartending and fishing. He especially loved the special time he spent partying with his good friends at Falcon Lake. Deans favourite pastime was Karaoke. Dean leaves to mourn his companion Melinda Gerzanic; two brothers, Bob and Harold of Winnipeg; two sisters, Mavis and Sharron (Russ) Paterson of Winnipeg; nieces, Lea-Ann (John) Ducharme, Shelly (Randy) Heidinger, Jayde Matheson, Nicole Matheson and Rachel Turick; nephews, Ron (Julie) Paterson and Jason (Paula) Paterson; many great-nieces and great-nephews, all of Winnipeg; Aunt Florence, several cousins, friends and family and Rose and Elmer Tice and their family. He was predeceased by his brother Ron in 1966; his father Lyall in 1977 and his mother Louise in 1986. Cremation has taken place and there will be a funeral service at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14 in the Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the doctors and nursing staff of the Grace General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
