ARZELIA ERICKSON (LIA) Peacefully, at age 93, our dear mother Lia, passed away on June 11, 2000, in Gimli. Mom was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Adeline Nadon; her husband Sam Erickson; her six siblings and daughter-in-law Wanda Erickson. She leaves to mourn her passing her three children, Donald of Gimli, Delores Johnson (Al), of Lac Du Bonnet, Brian (Mary Beth), of Thompson; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mom was born August 11, 1906, in St. Pierre-Jolys. She lived her adult life in Winnipeg where she raised her family and enjoyed a varied career. Mom was a strong and vibrant woman. In spite of many hardships, she was blessed with a deep abiding faith in the Lord. She extended a warm welcome to all who crossed her path, but it was her family that was always uppermost in her mind. Her thoughts and prayers always centered on their well-being. Mom we are grateful to God that we were blessed with your love. We look forward to the day we are reunited with you in the Lord. The family wishes to thank the staff at Betel Home for their outstanding care during her final years. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday June 15, at 2:00 p. m.in the Saint- Emile Church, 556 St. Annes Rd, with Reverend Fr. Rene Peeters presiding. Interment to follow in the Brookside Cemetery. Donations may be made in Lias memory to the Betel Home Foundation, 96 1st. Ave., Gimli, MB., R0E 1B0.
