ADRIAN LUKASZ SOKOLOWSKI With great sorrow the family announces the passing of Adrian Lukasz Sokolowski, age 16 years, beloved son of Zdzislawa (Gina) and Alex Miler on Monday, June 12, 2000 at the Childrens Hospital. Adrian was born in Winnipeg, June 12, 1984. He was a student at Garden City Collegiate at the time of his death. Adrian was looking forward to turning 16 and getting his own car. Unfortunately, he passed away on his 16th birthday. Adrian loved children and could always be relied upon to babysit his cousin and his brother. He was a very quiet boy but had a big heart and was always there when you needed him. He was loved by many who will miss him greatly. Besides his parents, Gina and Alex, Adrian will be sadly missed by his father Kaz (Mark) Sokolowski; his brothers, Damian Sokolowski and Kelvin Miler; grandmother Stanislawa Bielecka; aunts and uncles, Greg and Joanna, Robert and Alicja, Bogdan and Wioleta, Arek and Monika, Walter and Maryla, Wesley and Grace; cousins, Lukasz, Ashley, Dagmara, Konrad, Albert, Agnes, Iza and Matthew; as well as many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his grandfathers, Stanislaw Bielecki and Jozef Sokolowski and grandmother Anna Sokolowska. The family wishes to express special thanks to the rescue team and medical staff at Childrens Hospital for all their valiant efforts. Prayers will be said on Thursday, June 15 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 16 at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave., with Rev. Fr. Carl Tarnopolski officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. Im Free Dont grieve for me, for now Im free Im following the path God laid for me, I took His hand when I heard him call I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day To laugh, to love, to work or play, Tasks left undone must stay that way I found that place at the close of day. If my parting has left a void Then fill it with remembered joy, A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss Ah yes, these things, I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow, My lifes been full, I savoured much Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief Dont lengthen it now with undue grief, Lift up your heart and share with me God wanted me now, He set me free.
