RAYMOND (RAY) PETER PATRICK Peacefully on June 12, 2000 with his family at his side, Raymond passed away in the Health Sciences Centre. Ray will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by: his best friend and wife, Violet (Vi), whom he enjoyed a rich and fulfilling companionship with for 32 years; also his sons Burton and Calvin; his mother Annie Patrick; three sisters, Elsie (Walter) Stadnyk, Marion (Eugene) Marynowski and Janet (Glen) Taylor; one brother, Brian (Cindy) Patrick; and also many nieces; nephews; in-laws; aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his father, William Patrick in 1996. Ray was born in Sarto, Manitoba on May 27, 1942 and grew up on the farm. After leaving the farm and moving to Winnipeg, he was employed with Phillips and Temro Industries for 34 years. Ray was a devoted husband and father; he had a great love for his family and made each and every family member feel special. Dad, you were very brave. It was hard to say good-bye. Thanks be to God for your life; for being our Dad; for your friendship; for our talks - you were very precious to us and we love you. One of Rays interests was helping others. He was always there to lend a hand; provide a shoulder to cry on or offer comforting advice. Ray was a strong supporter of health and wellness. He advocated Supplementation and Certified Reflexology to aid self-improvement. Throughout his years, Rays weekends were filled with camping, snowmobiling, and many fishing trips to the Whiteshell. Ray also had a great passion for music and dancing. In his early years he loved to play the drums - entertaining with the "Impalas" and "The Road Runners" local bands. He entertained at numerous socials and weddings. Prayers will be said on Thursday, June 15 at 8:30 p.m. from Mary Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Drive. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 16 at 10:00 a.m. also in the Church with Rev. Fr. Carl Tarnopolski presiding. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens with the following acting as Pallbearers: Braydyn Patrick, Leonard Petryk, Nathan Taylor, Garry Boitson, Larry Stadnyk, Walter Patrick and Myron Smuk. "Ray, you will always be in our hearts and prayers. We love you and miss you." GREEN ACRES FUNERAL CHAPEL 222-3241
