WILLIAM JOHN (SAM) ROBINSON After a brief illness at age 71 with his family by his side, William John Robinson passed away on June 13, 2000 at the Beausejour Hospital. He was predeceased by his birth mother Isabella Manley (Coburn) in 1974 and his father Charles Robinson in 1981. He is survived by his mother Adele Tench; his loving wife Irene; his children, Curtis (Monique), Coleman (Laurel), Chuck (Jane), Lorinda (Wayne), Corey (Deborah), Lucainn (Darcy) and 16 grand-children. Bill was born in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, on September 3, 1928. He lived most of his life in Winnipeg, but also lived on the east coast as a youth. Bill enjoyed gardening and wood working. He made many keepsakes for his children and grandchildren. He worked for CNR for many years, and then for Eatons until his retirement.
