WILLIAM LESLIE MARKS Peacefully, at the Riverview Health Centre, Les passed away on June 13, 2000 at the age of 84. Les is survived by his son David; daughter Sherrill (Robert), Bruce and grandsons Philip (Christina) and Paul (Laura). He will be lovingly remembered by all his many relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Gladys, his parents William and Annie, brother Len, and sisters Margaret and Florence. Born on January 9, 1916, Les attended Gordon Bell High School and his long working career was spent at Empire Paint & Wallpaper, Lowe Brothers, and Sherwin Williams. An active curler well into his 80s, he was a familiar face at the Fort Rouge Curling Club. In accordance with dads wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. The immediate family will gather at a future date to see his ashes placed alongside those of Gladys. Flowers are gratefully declined, but should family and friends so wish, they may make a donation in dads memory to either the Winnipeg Humane Society or to a charity of their choice. Special thanks to Dr. Clement Yeung as well as to the wonderful staff of the East Wing, third floor of the Riverview Health Centre.
