Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCONSTANCE JASTREMSKY CHICKOWSKY Daughter of Thomas Joseph Jastremsky - a noted civic leader in the early days of the Ukrainian community in Winnipeg and sister of noted Ukrainian church architect, Julian Jastremsky, died in Fort Worth, Texas, on June 6, 2000 at the age 92. Opting for marriage and a family, she was not able to complete her own college education but both she and her husband believed in education and nurtured its growth in her three daughters, ensuring they would have the best education. She was found of quoting her father, "Educate a man and you educate one person. Educate a woman and you educate a family." A memorial service to be held at a later date in Vladimir & Olga Cathedral, where her grandfather was a founding member. Memorials: Hospice Survivors: Daughters, Patricia Cargill (Beaumont, Texas), Marilyn Clark (Juneau, Alaska), Caroll Chickowsky (Fort Worth, Texas) five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
