STANLEY MICHAEL SMALL JR. After a courageous battle with MS and cancer, Stanley Michael Small Jr., age 54 years, peacefully passed away Saturday, June 17, 2000 at the Grace General Hospital. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife Lucille (Lou) of 23 years; two sons, Kevin from Winnipeg and Brett from Calgary. He is also survived by his dear mother, Mary Small; sisters, Sandy Stelling (Don), Karen Sawchuk (Gary) nephew John; niece Kristen (Neil) cousins, Janice and Raymond Simcoe, Richard and Deanna Small; numerous aunts and uncles; sister-in-law Carol Brown and family; brother-in-law Eugene Robidoux and family, Saskatchewan; and brother-in-law Brian Robidoux and family, Edmonton. Stan was predeceased by his father in 1963. Stan will be dearly missed by his family and many people that he came in contact with at the Garden City Shopping Centre. Stan was born September 16, 1945 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and attended Faraday and Isaac Newton Schools. He worked as a security guard at the Bus Terminal with his trusty companion Lobo. He was also employed at Building Products. Stan went to work with his family in Yellowknifee, Northwest Territories in 1981 until 1986 when they returned to Winnipeg and he worked at the Winnipeg School Division No. 1 as a custodian where he had to cease employment due to MS. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 21 in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, with Don Stelling officiating. A private family interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception centre. In lieu of flowers, donations in Stans memory may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada or the Manitoba Cancer Society.
