MARY WERBISKI Mary Werbiski of Rorketon, MB passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2000 at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre, Dauphin, MB at the age of 86 years. Mary was born in the Oak Brae District of Manitoba on February 4, 1914 to Fred and Anna (Fediuk) Pulak. She received her education at Oak Brae and following that she was employed at Pulaks General Store in Rorketon. In 1933 at Toutes Aides, MB she was united in marriage to Nicholas Ross Werbiski. Following marriage together they operated a Livery Barn and Boarding House. In January of 1936 they began the Hotel operation in Rorketon and had maintained its operation till the present time. From 1938 until 1965 she helped her husband with the operation of an I.H. Dealership in Rorketon. Mary was a life member of the Manitoba Hotel Association. She was also a member of the St. Anthonys Roman Catholic Church in Rorketon. She was predeceased by her parents; husband Nicholas in February of 1975; son Kenneth in November of 1973; brothers, Mike, John, Alex and Anthony Pulak. Mary leaves to mourn her passing her son Fred Werbiski of Rorketon; daughter Thelma and husband Lloyd Hosler of Victoria, BC, as well as several nieces and nephews. Prayers were held on Monday, June 19 at the Rorketon St. Anthonys Roman Catholic Church at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 20 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Anthonys Church in Rorketon. Rev. Fr. Ray Omictin will officiate and interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Werbiski, Curtis Honish, Herman Hildebrand, Farrell Murray, John Werbiski and Norman Murray. The Sneath-Strilchuk Funeral Service, Dauphin, MB have care of the funeral arrangements.
