WALTER WILBERT KLEPATZ The family with great sadness, announces the peaceful passing on June 17, 2000 at 80 years of age. His memory will be cherished by his loving wife Marie of 54 years; two sons, one daughter; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild, Garry, Debbie (Ryan, Kyle) George and Aletta (Kevin, Andrea) Tom, Arlene (Crystal, Chris and Dylan, Dale and Dianna). Walter is also survived by his sisters, Hertha (Fred) Klapprat, Tillie Schatkowsky; brothers, Mike (Wanda), Albert (Anne), Gordon (Joyce), and by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Ernst and Amelia, and by his brothers, Alex and Johnny. Walter was born in Whitemouth, MB on April 20, 1920. He worked most of his life as a heavy-duty truck and equipment mechanic, retiring from River East School Division where he was also involved in transporting students. Walter greatly enjoyed the outdoors - camping, fishing, hunting and also curling. You could always count on "father". Mr. Fix-it was always there offering his advice when anyone had mechanical problems. He especially enjoyed hosting the many church picnics in his yard and his famous wiener roasts. Special thanks to Dr. D. Caners and the wonderful nursing staff on N3E at Concordia Hospital. Cremation has taken place. The memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 21 at 10:30 a.m. from Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. No. 1 East at Green Acres Lane. A private interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
