TOM ZEMBIK It is with sadness in our hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Tom Zembik at the age of 73 on Saturday, June 17, 2000 at his residence. Tom will be lovingly remembered by his sister Mary and brother-in-law Mike Stonaga; his half sister Anne Lindell of Sault St. Marie; half brother Albert of Selkirk; his stepson Mike Bodnar and wife Darlene; step granddaughter Brandi and also nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Linda; his sister Stella; his brother Mike and his parents John and Tekla. Tom was born in Zbaraz and lived there all his life. He loved the land and farmed for many years with his sister Mary and Mike Stonaga. He was a man with a great sense of humour and also with a big heart. His home was always opened to welcome his many friends and relatives. In his retirement years he enjoyed his many bingo nights and his winnings of "Nevada" were always exciting. He also spent many afternoons playing crib with his friends and just enjoying a beer. The funeral service will be held in Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Fisher Branch on Thursday, June 22, at 11:00 a.m. with father David Kowalsky officiating. Interment in St. Anthonys Cemetery in Zbaraz. Pallbearers will be Edwin Kowalski, Steve Shachtay, George Danelak, and Donald Zembik, Barclay Uruski and Corey Wallack. Honourary Pallbearers will be Frank Kolbuck, Bud Cherepak, Mike Meleshko, Bradley Zembik, Elaine and Bill Uruski, Gloria and Victor Wallack. REST IN PEACE UNCLE TOM In lieu of flowers friends and relatives may make a donation to St. Anthonys Cemetery or the Heart and Stroke Fund.
