FRIESEN Suddenly on June 20, 2000, at St. Boniface Hospital, George Friesen, beloved husband of Nitha, of Arnaud, died at the age of 62 years. Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter Sharon (Lorne) Klassen of Winnipeg; two sons, Brad and Michael (Michelle), all of Arnaud; three grandchildren, Sean, Patrick, Zachary; sister Mary Sawatzky of Winnipeg; brothers, Peter B. (Joyce) Friesen of Winnipeg, Victor (June) Friesen of B.C., Frank (Linda) Friesen of Winnipeg and many relatives and friends. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the St. Pierre and St. Boniface Hospitals. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 24, at 2:00 p.m. at the Arnaud Mennonite Church, with interment in the church cemetery. Viewing Friday, June 23, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Highway and at the church prior to the service. If friends desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 0S6. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
