MILDRED KENNEDY December 19, 1919 - June 18, 2000 Born in Winnipeg, Man., the daughter of Joseph and Alice Murray of Solsgirth, Man. Mildred grew up in Manitoba and married Clifford J. Kennedy of Miami, Man. in Winnipeg, 1974, and he predeceased Mildred in 1994. Cliff and Mildred moved to Brandon, Man. in 1960, then on to Regina, Sask. in 1969 with their children, Lorraine Shirley (deceased 1973) and Vernon Garth (Kelowna, B.C.). In 1980 Mildred and Cliff relocated to Victoria, B.C. where she resided until her death. Mildred was a terrific homemaker, an enthusiast of sewing and an avid square dancer, as well as being active in the church. She is also survived by sisters, Bonnie and Joan (Winnipeg), Lilian (Portland, Ore.) grandchildren, Jill and Nicholas Kennedy (Kelowna), Darryl Marshall (Canmore, Alta.) and Rochelle Loewen (Edmonton). She will also be missed by her many friends on the Prairies and in Victoria. A memorial service will be held at Gordon United Church, 935 Goldstream Ave. in Colwood, B.C. on Monday, June 26 at 10:00 a.m. Donations in Mildreds memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 1947 Fort St., Victoria, B.C.
