Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKENNETH J. POOLE Kenneth J. Poole passed away peacefully on June 21, 2000 at the Concordia Hospital, at the age of 80 years. Ken is survived by his three daughters, Donnie (Jack) Arklie, Shirley (Ed) Cormier of Winnipeg and Glenice (Bill) McKeon of Seattle; brothers, Art (Madeline), Hubert (Cecile) grandchildren, Grant (Doris), Steve, Nadine, Terry, Sean and Kira. He was predeceased by his first wife Georgina and his second wife Cathy. Ken was born June 28, 1919 in Birmingham, England and immigrated to Canada with his mothers family in 1921. The remainder of his years was spent living in Winnipeg except for a brief period in the Air Force during the Second World War. Ken retired from the Corps of Commissionaires in his late 70s, and spent the remaining years visiting family, travelling and tending his gardens. He was an avid Blue Bomber supporter. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 24 at 1:30 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1858 Portage Ave. The family sends their sincere thank you to the staff at Concordia Hospital for their kind and compassionate care.
