Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHRISTINA BARDYN Peacefully, with grace on June 21, 2000 at St. Michaels Hospital Palliative Care Unit, in her 58th summer. Christina Mazurkiewicz Bardyn died surrounded by her three children and husband Ihor. Loving wife to Ihor; mother to Tania, Alexandra and husband Daniel Tosello, and Michael; sister to Zenon and wife Ulana. Born in Ukraine, together with her parents and brother, she lived in Ingolstadt, Germany, Pine Falls, Man., before moving to Toronto. A graduate of Harbord Collegiate Institute, St. Michaels College University of Toronto, and Faculty of Education, she pursued a career in teaching. After graduation she went to work at Silverthorn Collegiate. A life-long educator and librarian, who last taught at St. Michaels College School and Neil McNeil Catholic Secondary School. An avid reader, writer and traveller who left many memories for her children. Her wisdom, kindness, gernosity, wit, compassion and love of family and friends will be remembered. Special thanks to the doctors who helped our mother in her quest for life during the past decade including Dr. Charles Tator, Dr. Ralph Manktelow, Dr. Allan Slomovic, Dr. Anthony Lang, Dr. Farouk Khan, Dr. Peter Ashby, Dr. James Sharpe, Dr. Lorrie Zinman, Dr. Roman Fedyna, Dr. Jaroslaw Shklar, Dr. Harvey Kaplovich, Dr. Zoltan Rona and Dr. Marta Witer. Thanks also to the students from Neil McNeil and St. Michaels, some of whom are now doctors, who visited our mother during difficult moments. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Toronto General and Western Hospital Foundation, Tator Brain and Spinal Cord Repair Fund, Norman Urquhart Wing 1-102, 621 University Avenue, Toronto, ON, M5G 2C4 and Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre, 60 Richview Road, Etobicoke, Ontario, M9A 5E4 would be appreciated by the family. Visitation, Sunday, 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with Panachyda at 7:00 p.m. at Cardinal Funeral Home, 366 Bathurst Street. Funeral Mass, Monday, 10:00 a.m. at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 515 Broadview Avenue. Interment at Park Lawn Cemetery, 2845 Bloor Street West, Toronto.
