ROY CHRUSCH Roy Chrusch was born in Vancouver on May 15, 1943. He moved to Winnipeg in 1946 and participated in Sunday School at Westminster United Church and in the Boy Scouts program. He enjoyed playing the accordion, water skiing, golf and bowling. After graduating from Gorden Bell High School he took up engineering at Red River Community College. Roy, dearly beloved son of Ruby Chrusch, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2000 at Deer Lodge Centre. He was predeceased by his father Jack Chrusch and is survived by his Aunt Mary; Aunt Ann and her husband Pete; cousins from Vancouver, Lac du Bonnet, Winnipeg and Foam Lake, Sask. Thanks to nurses on the 7th Wing Floor of Deer Lodge Centre who provided excellent care for Roy during his last two years. Also special thanks to Jenny Vince whose friendship and companionship to Roy while in care was greatly appreciated. Thanks also to Rev. Hemminger for his visits. Cremation has taken place at Chapel Lawn Cemetery. At Roys request, no memorial service will be held. Safely Home I am home in heaven dear one Oh so happy and so bright, There is perfect joy and beauty, In this everlasting light. All the pain and grief are over, Every restless tossing passed, I am now at peace forever, Safely home in Heaven at last.
