RAYMOND WALTER SWANSON Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, on June 23, 2000 at the Selkirk General Hospital, Ray Swanson, aged 56 years, of East Selkirk, beloved husband of Patty. Besides his wife Patty, he leaves surviving his mother Jean Swanson; a brother Vic of Richer; two sisters, Ellen (Buzz) Poirier and Sharon (Gene) Semowich of Winnipeg; parents-in-law, Pauline and Jerry Zelenitsky of Winnipeg; sisters-in-law, Lorraine (Raymond) Vigfusson of Winnipeg Beach and Carol (David) Langston of Teulon; brother-in-law Charlie (Donna) Zelenitsky of Winnipeg Beach; numerous nieces and nephews, and his cats, Buddy and Holly. Ray had been employed in the automotive industry most of his life and had worked most of those years at Eastern Sales. Ray enjoyed his holidays to Mexico and woodworking. At his request cremation has taken place and there will be no formal funeral. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Palliative Care at the Selkirk General Hospital. Special thanks to Dr. Harris and staff at the Concordia Hospital and to the Doctors, nurses and staff at the Selkirk General Hospital (Palliative Care).
