R. SIDNEY "SID" WILLIAMS Peacefully at the General Hospital, Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. on Thursday, June 22, 2000 at the age of 71 years. Loving husband and best friend of Susie. Cherished father of Cathy Williams, Laura Therrien (Bruce), Patti Elliott (Mark) and Carolyn Williams (John Plaunt). Special Grandad of Allen and Chantel Therrien and Susie and Megan Elliott. Predeceased by his parents, Reg and Beatrice Williams and brother Doug. Dear brother of Dick Williams (Bonnie) of Winnipeg. Dear brother-in-law of Jean Peacock (Hugh), Brian Donaghey and Steve Black (Fran). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Sid retired in 1988 after 36 years of service at the Department of Fisheries, the last 23 years at Sea Lamprey Control. Friends and family may call at the Arthur Funeral Home (492 Wellington E., Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. 705-759-2522) on Wednesday, July 5 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel on Thursday, July 6 at 11:00 a.m. Interment West Korah Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Sault Area Hospitals Oncology Unit would be appreciated.
