At the Jesuit Infirmary in Pickering, on Thursday, June 22, 2000, in his 75th year and his 57th year of religious life. Fr. Murray was born in Medicine Hat, Alta. in 1925 and entered the Society of Jesus in 1943. After completing the Novitiate at Guelph he studied philosophy and theology in Toronto. He was ordained to the Priesthood in 1957. Fr. Murray spent most of his Jesuit life in Winnipeg at St. Pauls High School and at St. John Brebeuf parish. He is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Anne Murray (nee Savage), and by his brothers, Robert and James Murray. He leaves to mourn his passing his Jesuit Brothers and his sister Joan Margaret Murray of Calgary, and Las Vegas. He also leaves to mourn his sister-in-law Mary R. Murray. Visitation will be on Monday, June 26 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Murray Hall in St. Pauls High School, 2200 Grant Avenue. Prayers and Visitation will also be held on Monday from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Murray Hall in St. Pauls High School. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 27 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Ignatius of Loyola Church, Corydon and Stafford with interment to follow at St. Marys Cemetery.
