Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDITH (DOTS) HARRIET CHIEF October 9, 1936 - June 21, 2000 With deep sadness the family regrets to announce the sudden passing of Edith Harriet (Dots) Chief on June 21, 2000 at the Grace Hospital. Long time resident of Scanterbury, Man. Edith leaves to mourn her timely passing, one daughter Brenda (Hughie Simard) and her special little friend Chasity Greyeyes; one brother Clifford Chief (Joyce) and three sisters, Diane Gajawsky (George), Wanda Kipling and Evelyn Everett (Harry). Edith was predeceased by her parents, Sidney and Gladys Chief; three sisters, Florence, Hilda and Edna; two brothers, Percy and Sydney; two brothers-in-law, Stewart Cook and Bill Kipling; one great-niece Miranda Desjarlais. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, friends and relatives. Honorary pallbearers: Hughie Simard, Paul, Ronnie, Jodie and Derrick Chief. Active pallbearers: George Gajawsky, Walter Greyeyes, Bradley Simard, John Sinclair, Melvin Sinclair and Brian Bear. Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 26 at 3:00 pm. in the Scanterbury Hall. There will be a two night wake, Saturday, June 24 and Sunday, June 25, held at Mathew Sinclair Elders Lodge. Interment to follow at the St. Phillips Anglican Church in Scanterbury. Special thanks to Maria Rourke, her homemakers and thanks to Donna Davis from Grace Hospital and Dr. Michelle Matter and to the ambulance drivers from Selkirk General Hospital, and a very special thank you to Freda and Kathy Bear, Reverend Peter Cain and Dave Sinclair officiating.
