Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATE MAZUR (nee YATES) It is with great sorrow the family announces the peaceful passing of their loving wife, mother, sister and aunt Katherine Louise "Kate" Mazur on Saturday, June 24, 2000, at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina. Predeceased by her parents, Alister (1970) and Evelyn (nee Craddack, 1995) and in-laws, Mike (1978) and Christine (nee Woloshyn, 1990). Kate will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband Doug; two wonderful children, Chris and Stacey (special friend Guillaume Grenier) brother John Yates and his children, Bonnie, Sharon, Cam and Iain; sister Deb (Dave) Anderson and their children, Kevin and Ryan; brother-in-law Jim (Cheryl) Mazur and their children, Heather, Susanne and Bradley and her special furry friend "Dusty Dog". Kate was born in Winnipeg and her family moved to Prince Rupert, BC in 1952. Returning to Winnipeg in 1957, Kate attended Kirkfield Park Elementary School, Lincoln Jr. High and Westwood Collegiate, then onto the University of Winnipeg and the University of Manitoba. Kate taught briefly in Steinbach and The Pas, Manitoba, before moving into the banking industry where she was employed at CIBC and Scotiabank. She left her position at the bank to spend time raising her family. After a period of years, Kate entered the work place again as a sales representative in the food industry. Kate loved her career which spanned the better part of 13 years. She especially enjoyed the great Ladies Lunches and all the support of the other sales reps. Doug and Kate travelled extensively and enjoyed all the sights and people they encountered. Kate was blessed with a long marriage and many sustaining friendships. A Celebration of Kates life will be held at Heritage United Church, 1050 N. Arnason St., Regina, Sask., on Tuesday, June 27 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Paul Dillman officiating. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. L. Moore and Gail, Dr. Sharon Thackeray and the staff of 3D at the Pasqua Hospital who cared for Kate. Flowers gratefully declined; those so wishing may make donations in Kates memory to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre or the Friends of 3D, both care of Pasqua Hospital, 4101 Dewdney Ave., Regina, SK S4T 7T7; or to a charity of their choice. "From the day we arrive on the planet, And blinking step into the sun, Theres more to see then can ever be seen, More to do than can ever be done". Arrangements are entrusted to the Regina Funeral Home (Phone 306-789-8850).
