MARIJA KALIC It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Baka as everyone knew her, peacefully at home at the age of 91 with her family by her side. Baka was born June 24, 1909 in Batnoga Kordun, Croatia. She was predeceased by her husband Vinko and nine children. Left to cherish her memory are daughters Kate (Tomo), Jelena, Ljuba (Stijepan), Milka, Zorka (Nikola) and Tina (Ivan), numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in Canada, USA, Croatia, Australia and Switzerland. We are very grateful for having had so many years together and are all enriched by her love, support and caring. The family extends a special thanks to Dr. MacMillan and her personal home care attendant Estelita. Prayers will be held on Monday, June 26 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 27 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Tavelich Croatian Roman Catholic Church, 2688 Main St. with Fr.
