VIOLET MAY FRANCIS (nee HAATVEDT) After a courageous battle with cancer, on Wednesday, June 21, 2000, at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Violet May Francis passed away at the age of 79 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Thelma and George and brother Robert Haatvedt all in Saskatoon; daughter Debra Loewen and common-law husband Bill Loewen. Violet leaves to mourn her sons, Ken Francis and Kerry Loewen; two grandchildren, Ryan and Christopher Loewen; brother Hilmer Haatvedt of Calgary; many nieces, nephews, relatives and good friends in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Norway. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 28, at 6:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. A reception will follow in the Cropo Rose Room. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Violets memory to Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St. Wpg R3C 9Z9.
