Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALTER FREDERICK HULSE "Fred" passed away on June 24, 2000, at the Victoria General Hospital, after a brief illness. Fred was predeceased by his wife Barbara in 1996 and is survived by three sons, Stanley (Marion) Payton, Scott (Tracey), Myles (Monique) John (Ronnie) Hulse; Donavon, Christine (Jason) Haire, Rick (Donna) Hulse, Leanne (Kevin) Mihalicz, Carrie and friend (Scott Brown) sister-in-law Agnes Forbes, Gimli, Man., and nieces and nephews in Ontario. Dad was very proud of his great-grandchildren, Skylar and Bree Mihalicz of Snow Lake, Man., and Rebecca, Andrew and Michelle Haire of Victoria, B.C. Fred was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 8, 1911. While in Canada he joined the Royal Canadian Engineers and served overseas from 1940 to 1945. After returning from overseas he resumed courting Barbara Payton and they were married in June 1946. Fred worked for a number of years for the Provincial Government, upon retiring in 1975, they spent many enjoyable winters in the south. At Dads request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Grey Street United Church, Sandhurst and Grey Street on Wednesday, June 28, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Gordon Fulford officiating. Private interment to follow. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
