Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM R. BRAUN On Sunday, June 25, 2000, at the St. Boniface Hospital, William Braun passed away at the age of 75 years. He is survived by his wife Elsie (Born) Braun and four children, Wilma Braun (Al Seredynski) Joan Larner (Ron) Bob Braun (Sandy) and Candace Braun (Gar Van Santen) and his grandson Tyler Braun Seredynski. William Braun was born in Gnadenfeld, MB on October 20, 1924 where he lived and attended school. In his early years, he was employed by Manitoba Hydro and worked in the mines in Red Lake. He spent 11 years as a grain buyer for Olgivies before moving to Winnipeg where he began his career as a truck driver. He spent many enjoyable years driving for Pauls Hauling until his retirement at the age of 64. Upon retirement, he was able to devote time to his interest in carpentry, woodworking and genealogy, as well as assisting with building projects taken on by his children. A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 29, 10:30 am. at the Good News Mennonite Church, 2764 Ness Ave., Winnipeg, MB, Pastor Trevor presiding. Interment at the Gnadenfeld Cemetery, Thursday, June 29, 3:30 p.m., preceded by a graveside service. In memory of William R. Braun, if friends so desire donations may be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8. The family wishes to thank Dr. McDougall and all the staff at St. Boniface Hospital (5B) for their compassionate care during his stay. Wiebe Funeral Home, Altona, MB in care of arrangements.
