Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryERIC SYDNEY ARCHER Eric Sydney Archer of Birtle, MB passed away June 26, 2000 at Birtle District Health Centre. Eric is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Muriel and his children, Pat and husband Clay Bottrell of Winnipeg, Don and wife Jan of New Zealand, Ken and wife Irene of Saskatoon, Sharon and husband Ed Condon of Winnipeg, and Deanna and husband Mark Chapski of Dugald, as well as eight grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister Margaret of Winnipeg. Eric was predeceased by his sister Ethel and brother Hubert. Eric was born April 1, 1917 in Binscarth, MB. He joined the R.C.A.F. in 1941 and served overseas in England for three years, before marrying and moving to Birtle where he established his plumbing and heating business in 1949. He had a wide range of interests. He was an avid reader, never lost his interest in flying and aviation, and loved nature, sports and travel. His friends were very important to him. Above all, he treasured his family and the many happy times spent together. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Birtle Health Centre or to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 30 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Georges Anglican Church in Birtle.
