ELEANOR J. HOLLOWAY Peacefully at the Dr. Evelyn Memorial Hospital, Stonewall, MB., Eleanor J. Holloway (nee Walker) passed away at the age of 81 on June 27, 2000. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Wilfred (Wilf) in December of 1999. She is survived by her loving family, son Gordon (Penney) daughter Janet (Tom Burwell), son Douglas (Brenda) grandchildren Shannon and Susan, David, Leigh and Elizabeth, Scott and Jason and eight great grandchildren. Mom is also survived by her brothers-in-law Alwyn Holloway of Winnipeg and John Waterer of Stonewall. Mom was born August 16, 1918 in Emerson, MB. She was the eldest child of Clifford and Grace Walker. Mom was predeceased by her parents, infant brother Bobby and sister and best friend Elizabeth (Betty) Waterer. Eleanor was a life long member of the Acadia Rebekah Lodge No. 4, being a Past President of the Rebekah Assembly of Manitoba. Mom was active in numerous clubs and services throughout the community during her many years in Stonewall. Eleanor worked for many years at Interlake Publishing. Moms favourite time was spent with her family and many friends travelling and camping at various places throughout Canada and the U.S.A. The family would like to thank the staff at the Stonewall Hospital for all their tender loving care and kindness shown to Mom and her family. "REST IN PEACE MOM" A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 30 at 2:30 p.m. in the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Rev. Mary Best and Rev. Marc Whitehead will officiate. If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Dr. Evelyn Memorial Hospital Stonewall, MB. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of the arrangements.
