Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHENRY JOSEPH de MONTIGNY On June 18, 2000 surrounded by his loving family, Henry Joseph de Montigny, passed away at his daughters home. He will be sorely missed by his wife of 58 years Iris; his five children, Yvonne Knight (Winston), Marcel (Lori), Annette Waller, Aline de Montigny (Brian Johnston), Henry Jr. (Caitlin) also left to mourn him are his 11 grandchildren, Gary, Kim, Sharon, Lisa, Jennifer, Marcel Jr., Michelle, Louis, Rachelle, Randi and Jayce as well as his seven beloved great grandchildren, Tyler, Kelsey, Ashley, Bryce, Payton, Riley and Mikayla. He will also be missed by his step grandchildren, Pat Waller (Bev), children, Kara, Barrett, Regan and Janice Chapman (Ken) children, Reta, Katharine and Adam.He was predeceased by his beloved son Eugene; son-in-law Bud Waller and granddaughter Renee. Henry served his country in the Twelfth Manitoba Dragoons during the Second World War (1942 - 1945). He was a trucker, employed by North Star Oil and then Shell Canada, retiring after 37 years of driving. Henry was very family oriented with special love for his grandchildren and great grandchildren. They will always remember grandpas treats and gentle sense of humour. Henrys pastimes included family get togethers, hunting, fishing and especially helping on the Waller Family Farm in the Assiniboine Valley. Late last year Henry was diagnosed with cancer and after surgery spent his final days being cared for at home with loving family members at his side as often as possible. Cremation has taken place and a private family Mass and Service have been held with interment in Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Cemetery. We will greatly miss our husband, dad, grandpa (papa) and will never forget him. We love you dad, rest in peace.
