Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDGAR STANLEY (STAN) BEAR Peacefully on Wednesday, June 28, 2000 at the Selkirk and District General Hospital, Stan Bear, aged 86 years of Selkirk, MB. He is survived by two sisters, Ellen (Norman) Dunning and Elsie (Merrle) Parsons as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Stan was predeceased by his parents, and brothers, Alex, Samuel, Albert, Jack and Edward. Stan was born on March 26, 1914 in St. Peters, MB, where he spent his early years. He then moved to BC and fished commercially until November, 1941 when he served overseas in the Second World War until being honourably discharged in February, 1946. Stan then fished commercially for several more years in BC then moved back to Manitoba continuing to fish until his retirement. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 4 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with a viewing a half hour prior to services. Interment to follow in the St. Peters Cemetery. Gilbart Funeral Home Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
