BERTHA EMILIA TYNDALL Passed away on June 29, 2000 at her home at the age of 88 years. Born December 13, 1911 in Lundar, MB, she married Stan Tyndall (R.C.A.F.) in 1941. During the war Bertha worked as a streetcar operator. She was also an accomplished seamstress. In 1948 they bought a 10 acre hobby farm near Transcona. Before her illness, Bertha was an active member of the Transcona Horticultural Society and also of the Rebekah Lodge No. 40. Though they had no children of their own, nieces and nephews were welcomed into their home and hearts throughout their lives. Predeceased by her beloved husband Stan in 1974; her parents, Jon and Soffia Lindal, as well as by her 12 brothers and sisters, Bertha is survived by a brother Einar Lindal of Lundar; sisters, Elin McKitrick of Winnipeg and Helga Charest of Wisconsin, and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A service in her memory will be held on Tuesday, July 4 at 11:00 a.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. Reception to follow.
