MARGARET ROBERTSON Peacefully at home surrounded by her family our Mother passed away June 29, 2000. Born March 10, 1913 on the family farm at Fortier, MB daughter of Arthur and Georgie Miller. She married Allan Robertson of Glasgow Scotland on April 16, 1938. They resided in Oakville, Stonewall and St.Vital. Predeceased by her parents, her husband Allan and special sisters, Grace Dalrymple and Esther Walkey. She is survived by two sisters, Blanche Staples of Innisfail, AB and Viola Swain of Portage la Prairie MB. Her two daughters and two sons, Diane (Ken) Mason, Sharon (Lenard) Mason, John (Sharen) Robertson and Garth Robertson of Portage la Prairie also survive her. Her grandchildren, Randy (Jeannine) Mason, Richard (Terril Chessel) Mason, Shaen (Ann Davidson) Mason, Tannis (Craig) Enns, Allan Robertson and great-granddaughter Jocelyn McQuarrie. After 87 years of incredible health Mother took ill in April 2000 but was able to return to her home in May for her final days. A wonderful caring woman with an open home and heart, she was a special Grandma, Aunt Marg and mom to many in her own and extended family of nieces, nephews and friends children. Her beautiful handwork of lace doilies, afghans, baby sets plus special shortbread have been spread throughout Canada, the US and Scotland. Her family wishes to extend their thanks to Victoria Hospital, V.O.N. nurse Marie, Homecare helpers Gilberte and Freda for care and comfort. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 4 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, Broadway and Furby. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 5 at 1:00 p.m. also in Thomson Funeral Chapels with Alex Cross officiating. Interment will follow at the St.Vital Cemetery. The pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Donations may be made in mothers memory to Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, 4th Floor - 141 Bannatyne Ave. Winnipeg, MB R3B 0R3.
