Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLARICE MONTGOMERY It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our mom in her 78th year. Her last days were spent in the love of her daughters home where she passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 1, 2000. Mom was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years Jim; her parents Robert Thomas and Ellen Wilken; three sisters Catherine, Joan and Edith, all of England. Left to cherish her memory are her children son Jim and Cecile, son Tom and Mary Lynne and daughter Ann and Marcel; her grandchildren Margaret (Blaine), Christine (Ken), Jim, Jackie (Shawn), Liz, Darcy (Darren) and Kelly; her great grandchildren Reine, Harley, Rielle and Kenny; her sister Alice and brother-in-law Les in England; brother-in-law Tom and sister-in-law Mary and numerous relations all in England and Canada. Mom was born in Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, England on October 21, 1921. She served in the W.A.A.F. and upon discharge was a Leading Aircraft Woman. Mom was a member of the Prince Edward Legion No. 81 and life member and Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary. She bowled with the East Kildonan Ladies for many years. Whether bowling, bingo, knitting, casino junkets or travelling with Ann and Marcel, she enjoyed life to the fullest and in her soft spoken loving way she touched many people. Cremation has taken place. A service of remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 6 at the Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 DesMeurons Street. A private family interment of the cremated remains will be held at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Breast Screening Program, 5-25 Sherbrook Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 2B1.
