FLORA McEACHERN Peacefully, on July 3, 2000 at River East Personal Care Home, Flora McEachern died at the age of 90 years. She is survived by her special niece, Flo (Dave) sister-in-law Dolly, and their families, numerous other nieces and nephews and their families, and her cousins. Flora was predeceased by her parents; one sister Mary; three brothers, Sandy, Bill and Bob; her nieces Roberta and Margaret and a nephew Michael. Flora was born in Barrhead, Scotland. She was employed by Great West Life for 41 years, retiring in 1974. Following that, she was a volunteer at Concordia Hospital, for 17 years, discontinuing this only because of ill health. She was also a long-time member of John Black United Church. Aunty Flo touched many lives and always had a cup of tea ready. Special thanks to the staff of Section D at River East Personal Care Home for their great care for Flora. At her request, cremation has taken place and a graveside service with family and friends will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, July 7 at Elmwood Cemetery, with Rev. Ann Duncan officiating.
