MARGARET FIRMAN (nee REPETA) After a lengthy illness, Margaret Firman, aged 86 years, passed away at the St. Boniface General Hospital on July 4, 2000. Margaret was born in Winnipeg October 25, 1914. Margaret worked in the garment industry for many years and was in a Government of Manitoba program to train immigrant women. She was predeceased by her first husband Joseph Boros; her second husband Frank Firman; her parents, Michael and Magdelena Repeta; brothers, Harry and Walter; and sisters, Olga and Anne; and son-in-law Paul Dorozynski. Margaret will be lovingly remembered by three daughters, Mary Malo (Gil), of Winnipeg, Emily Ste. Marie, (Emile) of Winnipeg, Margaret Bablad (Bob) of Toronto; seven grandchildren, Ronald, David and Janet Ste. Marie, Michael Dorozynski, Marlene Young, Monica and Jonathan Bablad; great-grandchildren, Mark, Damarise, Anika, Antoinne, Alexa, Tessa, Mason, MacKenzie, Keely and Tawny; her sister Tillie Sosiak; sisters-in-law, Jean and Elizabeth; and brother-in-law Joe; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Special thanks is extended to the nursing staff of A5 Medicine at St. Boniface Hospital for their care, kindness and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations in Margarets memory may be made to the St. Boniface Hospital Research Foundation, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 6 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernadette Roman Catholic Church, 820 Cottonwood Rd., with Rev. Fr. Fred Olds officiating.
