ANN VOORT (nee HUISING) It is with great sadness that the family wishes to announce that on Thursday, June 29, 2000, Anne Voort was suddenly called by our Lord to live with Him for eternity in heaven. Ann will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband Bill. Also left to cherish her memories are her three children and their families, Carolyn; her husband Kevin and their son Liam; Al, and his wife Janine and their two daughters, Tianna and Hayley; and Chris, and his wife Melanie and their daughter Ireland Reilly Ann. Ann was predeceased by her father Albert Huising. Left to mourn are her mother Femm Huising and her three siblings, Gary (Laverne) Huising, Ricky (Lawrence) Konjolka, and Karen (Phil) Merrick, as well as numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Born on July 14, 1939 in Holland, Ann immigrated to Lethbridge, AB in 1948. There she lived with her family. On June 9, 1962 she married her husband Bill and together they raised their three children. Ann was a caring and compassionate person and was always there to help those who needed her. She was a dedicated member of Westwood Presbyterian Church and contributed in many ways. She took great pride in her home and her beautiful gardens. She will be sadly missed by all of us. A memorial service will be held at Westwood Presbyterian Church on Saturday, July 8 at 2:00 p.m. The family asks that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the Cancer Society.
