Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN ALLAN (UNCLE AL) PERKINS With great courage and dignity, our Uncle Pal passed away at the Concordia Hospital on July 2, 2000. Al was predeceased by his wife Irene; his parents, Alfred and Jessie; sister Mae; and brother Ralph. He will be sadly missed by sister-in-law Alice (Mike) Kologie of Selkirk, MB; nieces, Susanne (George) Dmitruk of St. Anne, MB, Emily Jarvis of Lockport, MB, Sandra (Scott) Keeney of Selkirk, and Laurie (Al) Smith of Hudson, PQ; nephews, Michael (Terri) Kologie of Anola, MB, Richard (Judy) Kologie of Lake Audy, MB, Aaron (Derry) Lubell of Vancouver, BC, and David (Johani) Lubell of Baie dUrfe, PQ; cousins, Jack (Joy) Stacey of Minnedosa, MB, and Ernst (Jean) Ward of Oadby Leicester, UK; and special friends Cam (Catherine) Cormack of Winnipeg. Last but not least "Perky". Al served his country with the R.C.A.F., going overseas to England and Germany from 1942 - 1945. He was a member of the Fort Rouge Legion Branch No. 97 for the past 45 years. Al was employed at the T. Eaton Co. as a baker, retiring in 1980 after many years of dedicated employment. After retiring, Al was the store Santa Claus at the Eatons Village Downtown. "Uncle Pal was a very happy and unique person!" The family would like to thank his many good neighbours, especially Janice and Andy, and everyone else (you all know who you are Kiddo). Also, sincere thanks to the Emergency Department and ICU at Concordia for the care given to Al. "God Bless You" Funeral services for Al will be held on Friday, July 7 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with visitation one half hour prior to the service time. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, with Michael Kologie, Richard Kologie, George Dmitruk, Scott Keeney, Dave Wiebe, and David Dmitruk serving as pallbearers. The honorary pallbearers are Cam Cormack, Frank Dixon, Ken Townsend, Jack Stacey, Andy Richard, and Lyndsay Eastoe. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Fort Rouge Branch No. 97 will form a Guard of Honour. Reception to follow. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
