Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERALD OTIS LOSEY It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Gerald Losey on Wed-nesday, July 5, 2000. Gerald is survived by his wife Nora; brother James (Marlene) Losey of Michigan and Florida; niece Cheryl (Marc) Fontenot of Florida; nephews, Allan (Karen) Losey of Michigan, James (Jeanette) Losey of Michigan; brother-in- law John (Ghennet) Lazier. He was born in Detroit in 1930. His tertiary education was at the University of Michigan where he received a Ph.D. in Mathematics in 1958. He taught at Michigan, Princeton and Wisconsin. In 1964 he came to the University of Manitoba and served in the departments of Mathematics and Computer Science. In his retirement Gerald studied Spanish language and culture, played duplicate bridge and golfed at Southwood. Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, July 11 at 2:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley St. Donations may be made in Geralds memory to Black Hole Theatre, University of Manitoba, 367 University College, 220 Dysart Rd., Winnipeg, MB, R3T 2M8, or to a charity of ones choice.
