Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLESLIE WILLIAMSON 1920 - 2000 With his family by his side, Les passed away on Wednesday, July 5 after a brief stay at St. Boniface Hospital. Born and raised in Belmont, Manitoba, Les was always an active part of the farming community. It was when he was in the Ninette Sanatorium that he met and later married Hazel Clarke and then moved to Winnipeg to raise their family of four. Les had quite an interest in politics and had a hand in many things around the city including holding the position of Councilor in Ft. Garry and running for Mayor. He enjoyed his many years of curling at the Pembina Curling Club, playing cards with friends and family, and farming during the summers at the family farm in Belmont. He is pre-deceased by his father Howard; mother Bessie and two brothers, Alan and Ross. He will always be missed and remembered by his wife Hazel; three sons, Howard (Flo), Arthur (Sharon), Gord (Lorraine) daughter Jeannie and his six grandchildren, Kerrie, Lori (David), Cindy, Kelvin, Tara, and Jason. Many, many heartfelt thanks to the 6th Floor and ICU doctors and nurses at St. Boniface Hospital for the excellent care and consideration.
